It is the application of computers and telecommunications equipment to store, retrieve,transmit and manipulate data, often in the context of a business or other enterprise.

IT Department of AGPPI was rewarded with Excellent remark in Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education’s (MSBTE) External Academic Monitoring Committee (EAMC) during Academic Year 2012-2013.

Today, the term Information Technology has ballooned to encompass many aspects of computing and technology, and the term has become very recognizable.

IT professionals perform a variety of duties that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases.

Following are the key areas that IT professionals explores may include data management, networking, engineering computer hardware, database and software design, as well as the management and administration of entire systems.

With mindset of nurturing upcoming IT talent, Department of Information Technology was established with the aid of best of the infrastructure and the faculty. We educate our students polish them as outstanding caliber who become good professionals in future.

The department is well known in conducting various technical and non-technical activities for students as well as faculty members. Every semester, here in the department, lectures of latest technologies are being conducted for students.

Students are always updated with the latest trends in IT through various guest lectures and workshops. Faculty members are always on their toes to provide students with all the assistance they require any point of the time Students are encouraged for participating in sports and various extracurricular activities for their complete development.

Team of dedicated faculty members is the core strength of the department. Most faculty members have completed their post graduation and few on the verge of completion. Most of the faculty members are actively involved in publishing technical papers at various levels.

The team work of department motivates every faculty member and student to set a good example to their successors.

Students are encouraged to participate in co curricular and extracurricular activities. The students also participate and shine in the prestigious competitions.
